Your Guide to Getting a Remote Job

So you’d like to join Tulsa Remote, but you don’t have a remote job yet. In this series, we'll break down three ways you can work remotely and have the flexibility to embark on a new adventure in Tulsa.

You’ve heard such great things about the city of Tulsa, the Tulsa Remote community, the amazing entrepreneur ecosystem, and, of course, the $10,000 grant! But there’s just one problem: you don’t have a remote job yet.

I’ve got good news for you, this is a problem with a solution.

I’ve been working remotely off and on since 2008. Yep, remote jobs have been around for that long! My name is Libryia Jones, I’m a Tulsa Remote alum, and I’ve been teaching people how to find and land remote work since 2015. In the last three years alone, I’ve helped over 300 people find and land remote jobs and gain more freedom in their lives through my company, Quit Commuting

Contrary to sensationalist news stories, people who want to work remotely aren’t just lazy workers who want to sit on their laptops in their underwear in front of the TV. More often than not, remote work is a way to enable a more fulfilled lifestyle. People want to spend more time with their families, travel more, and focus their energy on enjoyment and personal growth. Given that you've landed here, I assume your goal is to relocate to a vibrant city with a lower cost of living than where you currently live, AND you’re ready for a new life adventure! Well, friend, you are on the right track.

In this series, I’m going to break down three ways you can acquire a remote job so that you can participate in the Tulsa Remote program and get the chance to experience what Tulsa has to offer.

Three Ways To Work Remotely

You know the old worn-out saying, there’s more than one way to skin a cat? I hate to think that people are skinning cats and, even worse, coming up with multiple ways to do it! Poor cats. Anyway, just as there is more than one way to skin a cat 😩 there are multiple ways to work remotely. Deep dive into each of these three ways by clicking below and see which option works best for you!
