Jonathan Frank, Supporting Remoters Beyond Their First Year in Tulsa

Written by Tulsa Remote Staff | Jun 30, 2023 1:00:00 PM

Since joining the Tulsa Remote team in August 2021, Jonathan has worked on the recruitment and marketing team as well as the member experience team. He has relished the opportunity to interview applicants, connect with members, plan events, and help new Tulsans build community.

In his current role as Alumni Integration Manager, he supports Remoters after their year in the program is complete by organizing events, collaborating with city partners, and encouraging community in all forms, all with the goal of maintaining Tulsa Remote’s excellent retention rate.

“I build relationships, gather feedback, create support systems, and implement strategies that seek to serve the broad spectrum of needs expressed by our program alumni,” Jonathan says. "Part of my role that I especially enjoy is having intentional conversations with alumni about their experiences in Tulsa."

He is originally from Texas and came to Oklahoma in 2015 to study history and political science at Oklahoma Baptist University. Jonathan is a former elementary teacher and Teach For America alum who served in Tulsa. His passion for helping people find meaningful communities led him to his current position with Tulsa Remote.

Outside work, Jonathan plays recreational basketball and soccer, hikes regularly, and is involved with Teach For America's alumni network.  His favorite things to do in Tulsa include listening to live music at Mercury Lounge Tulsa,  eating whatever the  Et Al. Tulsa team is cooking up and reading at Woodward Park.
