The 2025 Economic Impact Report is Here!

2025 was a major year for the program that included several unique experiences: Dr. Timothy Bartik of the Upjohn Institute published a study on Tulsa Remote, highlighting its impact on the local economy. Experience Tulsa officially launched with monthly signature events for new and longtime Tulsans. We celebrated several key media features throughout the year, all highlighting program successes and milestones - as well as Remoters’ stories and experiences.

A few key research findings from the report include:

  • Since the launch of the program in 2018, Tulsa Remote has grown from 70 participants to 3,972 at the close of 2025.
  • As of December 2025, 3,972 Remoters have collectively generated $878 million in direct employment income, significantly contributing to Tulsa’s economic vitality.
  • Tulsa Remote members have grown more diverse with each year of the program, with members who identify as part of an underrepresented racial and ethnic group accounting for 57% of movers in 2025.
  • 4.5x Work Satisfaction: Alumni intending to make Tulsa their home beyond their program commitment have over four times the likelihood of reporting increased work satisfaction than those who are planning to leave, underscoring the positive impact of Tulsa Remote on individuals’ professional and personal lives.
  • 80% Retention Rate: Tulsa Remoters report a 2-Year Actual Retention Rate for 2025 Survey Responses.

We're also featuring stories from 4 Remoters: Kagan Conaway, Nyla Pollard, Conor Godfrey and Josh Hathaway - each making their mark on Tulsa in unique ways.
